During the activation process, there will be a slight "off gas" which will
need to be released. It is similar to the "burp" requirements when making wine
or other fermented drinks. Using a wine or beer cap which allows the
gas to be released automatically can be helpful but just unscrewing the cap
and then tightening it back up every few days works well, too.
Increasing the activation temperature speeds up
the process which can take from around 14 days days down to 4.
Commercial users can optimize the activation by controlling the
temperature. Call us to locate a consultant who can optimize the
brewing instructions at an on-site location and provide the maximum
cost savings methods for applying he product.
Once activated, it should be used within 7 - 14 since the microbes have
populated and are ready to do their job. If not used during this
"activated" period, the microbe population will die off and not not be effective.
Discard any unused activated product after 30 days by pouring into the compost pile, on
a bed of soil, or down a drain.
